Your duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient execution of the production schedule whilst meeting safety, quality, deadline and productivity targets
- Supervise and organise on-site activities to ensure operational performance
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of 28 to 30 operators
- Anticipate production issues and implement appropriate solutions
- Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability
- Monitor and analyse performance indicators (productivity, OEE, quality, safety)
- Implement corrective actions and help set objectives
- Roll out continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimisation)
- Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture
- Act as the Production Manager’s right-hand person and gradually progress into this role
The ideal candidate:
- You hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or welding
- You have at least 5 years’ experience in team management within an industrial environment
- You are fluent in English
- You have a good understanding of technical trades (welding, machining, assembly, painting)
- You are results-oriented, meticulous and have a strong sense of responsibility
- You are proficient in continuous improvement tools (Lean, 5S)
- You place great importance on workplace safety issues
- You enjoy being on the shop floor and working closely with the teams
