The Investment advisor will have a unique and clear focus on discretionary portfolio management business development. In tight collaboration with the Head of Investments, Investment Advisors, Investment Managers and Private Bankers locally, the Investment Advisor will aim at developing the DPM book of business, manage the future pipeline and help retain business when at risk.
What are the core responsibilities ?
Actively market and develop the Discretionary Portfolio Management client base
- Work with Investment Advisors and Private Bankers to identify prospective individual and groups of clients for Investment Management service
- Communicate/deliver/close on client proposals
- Identify new product opportunities/needs in the marketplace and communicate these to the appropriate product specialists
- Ensure each client segment receives the appropriate level of service
Working with the Head of Investments, develop and deliver to a budget and business plan
- Setting business goals, objectives, sales management action plans and sales dials for the Market
- Measure individual (and if applicable, team) performance(s) against goals, objectives, client satisfaction levels
- Optimise business and product mix and ensure multiple product penetration
- Assist Investment Advisors and bankers on mandates promotion
Focus on business retention
- Identify potential business at risk and proactively deliver action plan to retain assets
Participate to internal and external marketing and communication plans on Investment management services
The candidate will have to work closely with the Investment management team
What is the ideal candidate?
- Excellent market exposure and multidiscipline investment expertise
- Sales and process driven
- Proven track record as a successful salesperson
- Demonstrable success in working seamlessly and effectively with investment specialists, investment managers and private bankers
- Client facing, significant revenue-generating activity
- Proven familiarity with market information systems appropriate to asset classes covered (e.g. Reuters, Bloomberg, Telerate, etc.)
- Excellent command of English an absolute necessity. Bilingual with another language required.
