We are looking for a Business Controller to join a Belgian company active in the distribution of goods and equipment for professionals and public-sector organizations.
As part of a major transformation phase, the group is strategically refocusing on its core distribution business. With around forty employees and a turnover of approximately €50M, the company is pursuing its professionalization with a strong ambition to further structure its management tools, processes, and financial culture.

In a context of transformation and growing maturity, we are looking for someone able to structure, strengthen, and evolve financial practices in a progressive and intelligent way.
Your role
As Controlling Manager / Business Controller, you will be responsible for the creation and deployment of the controlling function within the group. Your mission: implement the tools, indicators, and methods needed to manage the business in a more rigorous, reliable, and data-oriented way.
More specifically:
- Structure the budgeting process and variance tracking
- Set up reliable, relevant, and useful reporting for operational teams
- Strengthen the reliability of financial, commercial, and operational data
- Manage matters related to stock, inventory, and logistics discrepancies
- Contribute to cash flow monitoring and cash management
- Build and track relevant KPIs for the different departments
- Support managers in understanding and using the figures
- Evolve practices toward greater method, rigor, and data culture
- Create a dynamic of collaboration and buy-in around management tools
- Actively participate in the transformation and structuring of the group
The role requires technical skills as much as pedagogy and diplomacy. The goal is to evolve the organization while supporting the teams.
Your profile
- +10 years of experience in controlling, business controlling, audit, or operational finance
- Confirmed experience in an SME, family-owned company, or loosely structured environment, with the ability to create and structure tools and processes
- Good understanding of the challenges related to stock, distribution, logistics, and supply chain
- Excellent command of Excel and solid accounting knowledge (budgets, analyses, reporting); experience with Sage X3 / Power BI / WMS is an asset
- Fluent French essential, English useful
