Business Performance Manager

Company description

Our client is a permanent capital holding company. They acquire family-owned and owner-operated businesses and partner with them to ensure their long-term success. You’ll join a small, dynamic team operating in an entrepreneurial environment.

Role & Responsibilities

As Business Performance Manager, you’ll play a central role in value creation. Your mission is to turn deep business insights into clear KPIs, aligned priorities, and sustained performance improvements.

Your responsibilities will be diverse and evolve over time, and will at least include:

  • Develop a factual understanding of each business: value proposition, customer journeys, pricing, costs, competition, and market dynamics.
  • Identify impactful value levers through data analysis, staff interviews, field observation, customer feedback, and market scans.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility, and propose clear action plans.
  • Define and align on a few critical KPIs — avoiding vanity metrics.
  • Work closely with managers to align resources and actions with targets.

Sustain improvements by tracking trends, building data literacy, and challenging assumptions with facts.

Mindset

The Business Performance Manager is expected to have significant impact across the organization. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude and the following mindset:

  • Data-driven, analytical, and pragmatic.
  • Integrity and intellectual honesty.
  • Focus on simplicity, clarity, and outcomes.
  • Collaborative and low-ego, able to influence without authority.
  • Ownership mindset: accountable, persistent, and solution-oriented.

Requirements

  • Degree not required — we value experience and results over formal credentials.
  • 5–10 years of high-impact experience turning analytics into measurable results.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to quickly grasp business dynamics (unit economics, pricing, customer segments, competition).
  • Proven ability to cut through noise and drive execution.
  • Fluent in French, Dutch, and English (written & spoken).
