Your duties and responsibilities?

• Provide comprehensive advice on aspects of technical assistance, including environmental best practice and operational efficiency.
• Manage the financial aspects of the Engineering Department, including budgeting and capital works programs.
• Ensure cost control of maintenance activities and prepare departmental cost budgets.
• Assist in the planning of capital projects and the efficient allocation of funds.
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to technical assistance needs.
• Review safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and codes.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements by carrying out necessary tests and inspections in a timely manner.
• Develop a team of qualified and motivated engineers to ensure technical competence.
• Supervise external contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and technical efficiency.
• Maintain high quality standards in all work carried out by internal staff and external contractors.
• Represent the Engineering Department at management and associate meetings, encouraging collaboration between departments.

The Ideal profile?

• At least 5 years’ experience as an engineering manager.
• Previous experience in luxury or ultra-luxury properties preferred (Hotel experience ideally).
• Strong leadership skills, focused on trust, transparency and goal achievement.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical knowledge of buildings (both equipment and installations) and structural work.
• Fluency in English required; fluency in French and Dutch an asset.
• International experience preferred.
