We are looking for a dynamic, pro-active Data Protection Officer with a desire to build major projects for a universal bank. The position is attached to the Wealth Management division. This bank is currently experiencing rapid growth in Luxembourg and is developing several projects.

What will be your role?
- Functional manager with the Luxembourg office – periodic reporting, presented to the board, answering questions.
- Provide internal guidance on data protection matters. Raise awareness among staff about best practices in data protection and legal implications.
- Assesse risks associated with data processing within the organization. This may involve identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending measures to mitigate them.
- Ensures that the organization complies with data protection laws and regulations. Examine policies, procedures, and processes to ensure they align with standards.
- In the Compliance team, you have to manage the project from Luxembourg and implement it in another European country.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and regulatory authorities regarding data protection issues. Be responsible for cooperating with regulatory authorities and reporting data breaches when necessary.
- Have a reporting role with the head office.
Your profile and key areas of expertise
- Hold a degree in a related field.
- Possess a minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in a Private Banking, financial services, or Wealth Management Data Protection role.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be a highly motivated team player.
- Can work autonomously and take full responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Exhibit attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate results within tight timeframes.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of GDPR compliance requirements.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively within an internationally exposed team.
- Have good operational knowledge and IT skills in applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Be fluent in English, writing and reading and any other additional European language is a plus
